The body is finished in white with blue accents and a blue and white striped surrey top. Exterior details include a fold-down windshield, fender-mounted indicators, and removable doors as well as a front bull bar, side steps, rubber bumper overriders, “elephant foot” taillights, and dual exhaust outlets exiting through the rear bumper. Ventilated chrome 15″ steel wheels wear matching VW-stamped hubcaps and are mounted with 195/65 Cientra Plus tires. KYB shocks are fitted along with front disc brakes. The front bucket seats and folding rear seats are trimmed in blue and white striped vinyl, while additional interior elements include an aftermarket shifter, lap belts, a lockable glove compartment, a cabin heater, and a Bluetooth-capable Pioneer head unit, and cupholders mounted to the underside of the dashboard. The four-spoke steering wheel features a Wolfsburg crest center cap and frames a 100-mph speedometer with an inset fuel-level gauge. Its shows 5,076 miles on the 5-digit odometer at this time. The total miles are unknown. The air-cooled 1.6L flat-four was reportedly rebuilt under previous ownership and features Bosch electrical components, an electric fuel pump, a spin-on oil filter adapter, and a Thing-specific Tri-Mil Euro Two-Tip exhaust system with heater boxes. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. The floorboards were reportedly replaced as part of the refurbishment.
