A '50s era continental kit completes the stunning exterior package. The only thing that rivals the exterior of the Impala is the completely restored interior (2010). Cay Coral/Crème stripped cloth/vinyl upholstery is the factory pattern and is accented by the 'newly-designed' Impala steering wheel and handsome dash. The factory AM radio w/rear speaker is still there, but needs TLC to play your tunes. (Dual antennae are mounted on the rear fenders.) There is a classic 'traffic-light viewer', window glass is tinted and the owner has added Vintage heat/air that functions perfectly. Under the graceful hood sits a strong 348ci 'W' series big-block. It has been carefully rebuild and is equipped with a tri-power 3x2 intake manifold, three Rochester 2-barrel carbs and dual exhaust. This 'Super Turbo-Thrust' V8 outputs 280hp and 355lb/ft of torque and is backed by a three speed manual transmission w/column shift. The chassis is equipped with four-wheel drum brakes and power steering that utilizes the factory set-up wherein the power assist-pump is incorporated with the generator.
