The 1950 Ford F1 is a classic American pickup truck known for its durability, strength, and iconic design. The Ford F1 was the reason Ford Motor Company is still pumping out millions of vehicles each year. They established a base of customers that needed and enjoyed their product. These very capable utility pickups were the foundation of the USA. They provided an essential tool and also capable of getting into town or attending Church on Sunday.
This example is powered by a 351 V8 paired with a 4 speed AOD automatic transmission. The V8 is out of a 1984 Crown Vic and is bored .60. The The truck handles well and holds the road straight. Highlights include aluminum radiator, Edelbrock intake and carburetor, power disc brakes, power rack and pinion steering, 8.8 rear end with 3.73 gears, rear coil over suspension, front and rear sway bars, MSD ignition, tilt steering column. The interior is clean and the exterior shows very well. The F1 has a Mustang II front end out of a 1974 .
Ford's 1st F-series generation lasted from the 1948-1952 model years but significantly changed in appearance from year to year making each version unique and pretty rare. While trucks sold well, most were obviously used work heavy workloads leaving few surviving examples in excellent condition.
