Looking for a reasonable priced mid 50's Thunderbird that you can have “top down” fun with the day it becomes yours? This 1955 Thunderbird has been owned by our sellers for twenty five years! They have enjoyed local shows, cruise events and simply fun summer evening rides with the top down for ice cream. They even enjoyed cruising at the world famous “Woodward Dream Cruise” on Woodward Avenue in Metro Detroit for several years. This '55 'Bird had always been a dream wish for our sellers when they were younger and when this one became available, they didn't hesitate to make it theirs. They weren't looking for a “show car”, just a “cool car” they could enjoy at the turn of the key. They had no intentions of making it a “restoration project” either, they wanted a “driver” and not a car they had to worry about being too nice to drive and have to worry about. This Thunderbird could make someone happy just the way you see it today for many years (as did our sellers) or, you may decide to make it a complete restoration project as time and budget permits. The previous restoration (cosmetics) was completed over twenty five years ago. Our sellers have maintained it as a driver and are not aware of any major mechanical needs (You are welcome to have your mechanic look the car over for you).
