“Parade Ready Phaeton”
From 1927 through 1931, Fords production automobile was the Model A following the Model T which was produced for 18 years. The Model A was hugely successful. By July 1929 they had sold 2 Million units and by end of production, they had sold nearly 5 Million cars. As most Model A's were closed two-doors automobiles in two-seat, four-seat, , trucks and a plethora of other modified units. This particular 4-door Phaeton, which is an open car, more like a carriage and were popular from the turn of the century to the mid-1930's is quite a rare car and most of them have been modified or street rodded. This car has been nut and bolt restored eight years ago and been very moderately used since then. It has had excellent care and storage and is a very pleasurable car to not only drive but gets all the looks as well. The paint is better than average and I love the matching black wires. The car starts, runs, idles and goes down the road nicely. Runs out great at about 50 MPH, has good brakes with no pulling. The top operates easily and all lights and gauges work. This would make a great country touring car or perfect for local shows and parades. These are pretty rare and gaining in value.
