"SS" 409 4-Speed!
This factory Super Sport was originally ordered with the code “QC” 409CI V8 rated at 340HP, a 4-speed manual transmission (always a popular choice) was among the original selected options along with a dash mounted tachometer. An updated high capacity Aluminum Radiator has been added to handle the hot temperatures here in Texas.
The exterior was professionally refinished several years ago in its original code 948 Palomar Red Poly. The interior presents nicely as well with its factory correct code 812 black bucket seats, center console and Delco AM pushbutton radio. The body is straight with very good panel fit and the structure is solid throughout including the frame, floorboards and trunk compartments.
The SS option included special SS emblems, upgraded body side and tail panel moldings with swirled inserts and SS full wheel covers on 14” steel wheels. This surviving example checks all the boxes: a true factory SS with its original 409 engine, 4-speed manual transmission, buckets w/console, dash tachometer and an exceptionally nice original presentation ready to drive and enjoy.
