"Terrific TD"

The T-Series was a range of small body on frame roadsters that were produced by the famous British Car Company, MG. The first Model, the TA, was introduced in 1936 but production was halted by the onset of WWII. The TD was an evolution of the earliest examples and combined the TC's drivetrain, a modified hypoid-geared rear axle, MG's Y-type chassis, a familiar T-type body style, and independent coil spring front suspension. The cars were stylish, sporty and efficient. Close to thirty thousand examples were built with twenty-three thousand going to the United States.

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this well sorted, 1953 MG TD roadster for consideration. The car is powered by its 4-cylinder engine, 4 speed manual transmission and rear wheel drive. Mechanically, this little MG delivers big fun as the car remains a spirited driver and delivers the classic open-air roadster experience that these cars are known for. This restored example had the engine rebuilt in 2013 along with new wire harness, new paint, rebuilt transmission, carburetors rebuilt and new interior.

The MG TD Roadster are very enjoyable cars to own as they are relatively inexpensive and very reliable classics. The market for these cars remains strong and is considered a very safe automotive investment. The car here features an older refurbishment that shows very well and mechanically is on the button for immediate use.
