"Ol' Blue"
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1948 Ford F1 for your consideration. This F1 comes in a Blue Exterior Paint with some natural and some added patina, over a Black Vinyl interior with extended patina on the dash. Powering this Ford is a strong-running, mildly built 350ci V8, mated to a 350 automatic transmission. This truck fires right up, runs, and drives great. It sounds exceptional with the full dual exhaust as well. This F1 comes with some great features such as: power steering, power front disc brakes, Detroit City Wheels with like-new Nitto tires, a 12v cigarette/power socket hidden in the glovebox, a digital speedometer, and a lowered suspension. This truck has many new parts such as: a new radiator, Dolphin gauges, wood bed, fuel pump, power steering pump, fresh oil change, a front end alignment, new battery, and more. Drive this one out of our showroom or have us assist with shipping it to you anywhere in the United States! Don't hesitate to give us a call with any questions or for more information.
The first generation of the Ford F-Series (also known as the Ford Bonus-Built trucks) is a series of trucks that was produced by Ford from 1948 to 1952 model years. The introduction of the F-Series marked the divergence of the Ford car and truck design, developing a chassis intended specifically for truck use. Alongside pickup trucks, the model line included also panel vans, and bare and cowled chassis, and marked the entry of Ford into the medium and heavy-duty truck segment. Across North America, Ford assembled F-Series trucks at sixteen different facilities during its production. In Canada, Lincoln-Mercury sold the F-Series under the Mercury M-Series nameplate to expand coverage in rural areas. The first generation of the F-Series is the sole generation produced entirely with "Flathead" engines (inline-6 and V8).
