This 2002 Ford Thunderbird is a beautifully preserved tribute to one of America's most iconic nameplates. Finished in vibrant Torch Red over a black leather interior, it carries 112,000 well-maintained miles and still shows in excellent condition throughout. Purchased by its third and current owner in May 2006, this Thunderbird has been lovingly cared for with complete records of all maintenance and expenses during nearly two decades of ownership.

Under the hood, the 2002 Thunderbird is powered by a smooth and capable 3.9-liter DOHC V8, developed in partnership with Jaguar. It produces 280 horsepower and is paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission, delivering strong, confident acceleration and a refined ride. Rear-wheel drive and an independent suspension give the Thunderbird a composed, grand touring character—ideal for relaxed highway cruising or weekend drives with the top down.

This generation Thunderbird pays homage to the original 1955–1957 models with its long hood, short deck proportions, round headlights, and porthole-style hardtop. It was designed as a modern reinterpretation of the classic personal luxury roadster, blending retro styling with 21st-century comfort and engineering. This example features a new convertible top installed in 2016—though it has mostly remained down in favor of the removable hardtop, which is included along with a storage rack, boot cover, and full car cover.

Recent maintenance includes a new A/C compressor installed in 2022 and a full set of Goodyear Eagle tires in 2023, including a new spare. Garage-kept and thoughtfully maintained, this Thunderbird offers a rare combination of vintage charm, modern performance, and reliable ownership history—making it a standout among collectible American convertibles.
