1946 Lincoln

Continental Convertible

Description

1946 Lincoln Continental Convertible, powered by a V12 engine paired with a manual transmission shifted on the column. Production numbers are believed to be just over 200 units, making it a sought-after collector's item. Medium gray metallic paint complemented by a wine-colored interior, chrome accents, and wide whitewall bias-ply tires. The convertible top is in good shape, though some hydraulic components, like the windows and top pumps, require attention as they only click but do not operate properly. This vehicle still operates on its 6 volt system. The car starts and runs smoothly, with the V12 engine firing up without issue, but it needs mechanical work before it can be safely driven long distances. There is a fuel pump switch under the steering column for an electric fuel pump. Key areas that require attention include the brakes, tires, suspension, powertrain, and drivetrain, which are showing wear typical of a vehicle of this age. The car's carburetor has been rebuilt, but the gauges are currently inoperative. The interior, particularly the upholstery on the front seat bottom, needs restoration. Wheel covers, convertible cover, and fender skirts are included with the car.
