The Legend Reborn: '32 5-Window Ford with a 454 Bite
This professionally built '32 Ford 5-Window Coupe features a high-performance drivetrain, modern electronics, and classic hot rod styling. The lightweight BeBop fiberglass body sits atop an American Stamping fully boxed chassis, delivering strength and rigidity for a confident and reliable ride.
Power comes from a stout 1972 GM 454 big block, paired with a Weiand Tunnel Ram intake topped by dual 450 Holley carburetors. A Comp Thumper cam, gear drive, and 9:1 compression provide a lopey idle and street-friendly performance. The engine is backed by a Turbo 350 automatic transmission with a 2200 stall converter, offering crisp shifts and strong off-the-line acceleration. Ignition is handled by MSD components including coil and distributor, with Accel 8mm wires for reliable spark delivery.
Cooling is handled by a Walker radiator and Cooling Components electric fan, keeping temperatures in check. The front suspension features a Silverbell 4" drop axle, while the rear is equipped with a 9" Currie 3.70 geared differential and Aldan American coil-over shocks. Steering is controlled by a Vega-style steering box from Classic Performance Products, offering tight and responsive handling.
Four-wheel disc brakes deliver confident stopping power, and the car rides on classic American Racing Torque Thrust wheels, giving it a timeless hot rod look.
Inside, the cabin is equipped with a Kenwood KDC-248U stereo system, Memphis Audio Power Reference Series speakers, and dual Memphis Audio Power Reference Series amplifiers, delivering clear, powerful sound. A full set of Autometer gauges includes fuel, volts, speedometer, tachometer, water temperature, and oil pressure, giving the driver a complete picture of the car's performance. The electrical system is cleanly integrated with a Rebel wiring kit.
Creature comforts include Southern Air/Heat for year-round comfort, a Yogi's power trunk lift, power windows, and a Rock Hinge belt system for a clean, functional finish. The exhaust tone is deep and aggressive, thanks to a custom system by Lou's Custom Exhaust.
This '32 Coupe is a seamless blend of vintage attitude and modern reliability—ideal for cruising, shows, or spirited weekend drive.
