"Original Excellence"

This 1953 MG TD Roadster was discovered in 2014 after sitting more than 50 years in storage. What lay beneath the 51 years of dust turned out to be a preserved piece of English automotive history. In 2014/15 this TD Roadster underwent an extensive cosmetic detailing process and mechanical furbishment with strict adherence to preserving everything possible on this T-car. This TD comes to us from a private collection as close to completely original as one can get in a mechanically fit 72 year old car.

This TD Roadster is presented in its original Tartan Red exterior paint over its original red interior. It is powered by its original 1250cc 4 cylinder engine, 4 speed original gearbox and rear end. Most if not all of the trim and trinkets remain original to the car.

Since its detail and refurbishment, the car has been cared for, driven and enjoyed to ensure its mechanical fitness. The exterior paint remains quite remarkable given its age as it shows the perfect amount of patina. The original interior is quite tidy from the dash and gauges, to the seats, door cards, carpet, etc. The one notable upgrade to the car is the Dayton knock off wire wheels, the original steel wheels and hubs are available and can be included with the purchase.

If you are into original cars, you will be hard pressed to find a car of this age in preserved state as this 1953 MG Roadster.
