"Preserved for 98 Years"

This highly preserved 1927 Chevrolet 2 door couple was put away in a barn in the early 1940's and remained untouched until it was found and purchased in 2020 by a father and son tandem of auto enthusiasts. Restoration never crossed their mind, however preservation was the highest priority that fed their experience. The car was found as it is seen here and nearly 100 percent original with the exception of the light green paint which was done prior to it being put away in 1940, reasons unknown. Since acquisition, the car received a mechanical refurbishment as needed to include carb rebuild, top end work, brakes and a gentle overall massage to breathe life into this American classic.

The car is powered by its original 171 cubic inch inline 4 cylinder engine, 3 speed manual transmission and rear wheel drive. The car retains many original features that are rarely seen in existence today to include, all its original wood structure, original sheet-metal, the original window awnings that remain amazingly intact, the original BelCrank bumpers that were a dealer installed item at that time, original interior, original cloth top, original dash and gauges, original windscreen wiper, original glass, original rear rumble seat with the original Chevrolet insignia embossed rubber floor mat, the original hand crank, original tool kit with tool role, even the original tire chains that came with the car to navigate through the ice and snow.

This 1927 Chevrolet Coupe is a running and driving preserved example of American automotive history. What an opportunity to acquire quite possibly the most original examples in existence, not only the car, but the goodies that come with it.
