Vintage. Powerful. Iconic.
Vehicle Overview
Originally built at Chevrolet's Van Nuys, California assembly plant, this 1960 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe remains a rust-free western car retaining its original sheet metal and body panels. Powered by its numbers-matching 348 cubic-inch V8 with the desirable Tri-Power induction system and backed by a 4-speed manual transmission, it represents one of Chevrolet's most sought-after full-size performance combinations of the era.
The car was originally finished in Tasco Turquoise and has since been refinished in factory paint code 920A Suntan Copper. Mechanically, it has been maintained as needed, including the installation of a new oil pan in March 2025. It remains equipped with manual steering and manual drum brakes, providing the driving experience Chevrolet intended in 1960, although power steering and power brakes can be added if desired.
In addition to its history as an original California car, this Impala was selected for use in the feature film 11 Days, where it was driven on screen by actor Diego Luna. Its appearance in the film adds another documented chapter to the car's history without taking away from its originality or mechanical integrity.
With its numbers-matching Tri-Power drivetrain, original rust-free body, and documented film appearance, this Impala is a well-preserved example of one of Chevrolet's most recognizable full-size performance cars.
