This 1955 Ford Thunderbird represents the beginning of Ford's legendary personal luxury sports car era. Finished in a striking Red exterior with a White and Red interior, this classic Thunderbird combines elegant styling, V8 performance, and the comfort features that made the first-generation Thunderbird a true American icon.

The body received new chrome during a restoration approximately five to seven years ago while part of a long-term private collection.

Inside, the refreshed White and Red interior provides a beautiful vintage driving environment. The cabin features new seats, upholstery, door panels, and dash cover, along with a four-way power seat and AM radio. The classic Thunderbird cockpit retains the charm of the 1950s while providing comfortable cruising.

Power comes from the 4.8L (292ci) V8 engine producing approximately 192–198 horsepower, paired with Ford's smooth Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission. Factory-style brakes, original-style six-volt electrical system, and generator maintain the authentic driving experience of this early Thunderbird.

This Thunderbird also includes the correct spare tire and wheel mounted in the original spare holder, along with the original jack. Combining iconic styling, V8 power, and classic Ford craftsmanship, this 1955 Thunderbird is an excellent example of one of America's most collectible convertibles.
