"Jump in and Drive"
The Porsche 914 was a stellar partnership with VW to bring a sporty, low cost and high volume sale unit for the Porsche brand. This entry sports car allowed the company to enter into a new demographic and allow people to get a taste and feel for how fun it was to drive a Porsche.
Pleased to bring to market this very tidy and fun driving 1972 Porsche 914 1.7 with 39k miles. Finished in Bahia Red and retaining a very clean body, interior, and mechanicals. Interior received a nice makeover with new carpet kit, seats, center console, door panels and dash roughly about 4yrs ago. The horn, pop up headlights, gauges and cigarette lighter are functioning properly. Wheels were upgraded to the stylish Konig style that are 15in and fill in the wheel wells nicely. The chrome front and rear bumpers are in very nice shape and so much better looking than the later rubber bumper cars. Targa top is in great shape and stores nicely in the trunk.
After driving the car it was a very responsive car with proper acceleration, cornering feel and clutch engagement. Engaged into all five gears with ease and properly into reverse. The market continues to be strong on these affordable Porsches and finding a well sorted and good runner can be a challenge.
