As the story goes, Carroll Shelby wanted to beat Enzo Ferrari with a serious passion. The Shelby Cobra roadster, as good as it was, couldn't do the job. Without a roof, the aerodynamics kept the top speed to just 157 mph, where the Ferrari 250 GTOs were able to hit 186 mph. This speed battle sparked the birth of the Daytona Coupe. Factory Five Racing, an American automobile company, are the masters behind this gorgeous reproduction of the '65 Shelby Daytona. This car is painted to match, in the vibrant Indigo Blue and contrasting Wimbledon White stripes as applied by the paint wizards at Factory Five Racing.
As sweet at this looks, it does fulfill its raw, back to the basics, mission in life with a consignor stated Ford 302 cu in V8 and individual throttle bodies. A few tasteful upgrades that this Shelby totes includes coil overs, front and rear disk brakes, front adjustable tubular control arms, side pipes, and vintage air conditioning.
